Ward was born on April 15, 1976 in MonroeLouisiana. Monroe Christian School is a Christian-only private school for children of all ages. In her secondary educationWard attended Ouachita Parish High School. She later transferred to River Oaks High School on the following summer, after her senior year. There she was on the dance and drill teams. She did a brief stint at Northeast Louisiana University after graduating. Ward, then 13, was modeling when she quit school. She moved in New York to pursue this career. After a few years, she also decided to take up acting.
